If you’ve ever met me, you’ve probably heard me talk about my dog, Ash Man. He’s a rat terrier with a big personality packed into a small body, and he keeps life full of joy, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos.
Ash Man is more than just my pet — he’s my little sidekick. Whether I’m editing photos late at night, preparing for a session, or just out enjoying nature, he’s usually right by my side. Sometimes he’s patient enough to pose for me, and other times he’d rather chase after squirrels or my cats than sit still for a picture. Either way, he always manages to steal the spotlight when my camera comes out.
One of my favorite things about him is his expressive face — he can go from serious to silly in a heartbeat. Photographing him reminds me of why I love photography in the first place: to capture personalities, emotions, and the fleeting little moments that make life so special.
Ash Man might not know it, but he’s also part of my photography journey. He reminds me to pause, to play, and to find beauty in the everyday. And yes — he’s definitely convinced that treats are the only acceptable form of payment for modeling.
So, if you see a few dog photos pop up in between my weddings, portraits, and landscapes… now you know who’s to blame.
