The best time to schedule your senior photography session is August, September, or October. These months give you plenty of time to plan your session, choose your favorite images, and have your senior portrait ready for the yearbook.
Many schools have a December 31 deadline for submitting senior portraits, so I recommend booking early in the school year whenever possible. Scheduling between August and October allows enough time for your session, editing, and yearbook submission without feeling rushed.
That said, senior sessions are available year-round! If you prefer a winter, spring, or summer session, we can choose a date and location that fits your vision. If you’re planning to use your portraits for the yearbook, just be sure to check your school’s submission deadline so we can plan accordingly.

Your session can take place at a location that reflects your personality and interests. From beautiful outdoor settings and country landscapes to coastal locations and meaningful places around Mendocino County, I’ll help you choose a setting that feels like you.

I recommend bringing a few different outfits so we can create a variety of looks. Choose clothing that makes you feel confident and comfortable and reflects your personal style. I’ll be happy to provide wardrobe guidance before your session.

You don’t need to know how to pose! I’ll guide you throughout the session with natural posing and simple direction while also giving you plenty of opportunities to relax and be yourself. My goal is for your session to feel fun, comfortable, and natural.
